We welcome international students
from around the world into our excellent programs and schools. International
students are placed into the school that best matches their interests
and abilities. Calgary Board of Education staff carefully review the
application and work closely with school principals to select the
most appropriate school and program.
Once international students arrive at the school
they work with a school counsellor to select courses. International
students are encouraged to join extracurricular activities including
clubs or sports teams.
We follow the Alberta program of studies. Students
who successfully complete high school courses are eligible to receive
Alberta credits toward an Alberta high school diploma.
Alberta Education Guide to Education
International Coordinators are on staff at seven designated high schools to help international students with their academic and social programs.
